“I wanted to let you know about the passing of Tobias (he was called Poco when he was with you). He passed away on Saturday 4th November after having spent 10 years with us. We adopted him in 2007, along with Barney. We wanted to thank you for allowing us to spend 10 wonderful years with the little guy. When we first got him he was a frightened and sickly little boy. He was a challenge at first, but after a long time gaining his trust he became the most wonderful friend and companion to us, and best friend to Barney. He had always had problems with his back legs, but we did not expect that as he got older this would become such a huge problem for him. We tried everything. Medications, massage, physio, we even ordered him a wheelchair, but in the end, we knew it was time for him to find his peace and rest.

We loved that little boy so fiercely. I’m so proud of the dog he became after his bad start in life. He really is a testament to what rescues can do in giving a second chance to those who need it. We will forever be grateful for the time we were able to spend with him. For now, our hearts are broken, but we know that, in time, they will heal and we will be left with the most wonderful memories and hearts full of love for a little dog that will never be forgotten.”
