It is with great sadness and a huge broken heart that I have to tell you that my sweet little angel, Bree, passed away Thursday, February 1st, 2018.
Bree was a sweet-tempered little girl who lived life on her terms. When you came to visit, she’d bark in ecstasy the second you came into view, until you finally approached her. Her little tail wagged like high-speed windshield wipers. She jumped all over you, whether you liked it or not. If she loved you – and she did love every single one of my friends – you’d also be subjected to her breath-defying licks & kisses. Bree was a special little doggie; full of life, and full of piss & vinegar. She was my very best friend for almost 14 years. I took her everywhere with me in that carriage. As her ‘tantine’ Claire always said: “Elle fait partie de la gang! C’est une de les filles!”
Her life was not always easy. She suffered from a herniated disc and went through a very painful operation in order to repair it. Eleven months later, she suffered another herniated disc which caused her to become paralyzed. Being advanced in age, I would not subject her to another operation. Proper medication and laser treatments gradually corrected most of the problem. Plus she went through some pretty hectic moves! She was a brave little warrior, my little Bree! An abundance of love, affection and plenty of attention kept her happy.
Thank you to Gerdy (Gerdy’s Rescue) and to my close friends who helped us both so much. We love you and are so grateful for all you did and for the love and support you gave us both.
Bree was simply always a good-natured, silly, happy little girl, whom I adored and whom I will miss the rest of my days. I was so blessed to have had her in my life. I could not have had a better little pup. We understood each other and were each other’s soul mates.
Rest in peace my sweet little angel. You have changed my life for the better. There is a big emptiness, but your spirit is right here with me always. I just know that one day we will be together again.
