IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCED WITH DIFFICULT SMALL DOGS,
ADORABLE COOKIE COULD REALLY USE YOUR HELP.

Cookie’s owners had her since she was a puppy and now at 6 years old, surrendered her to the SPCA.
They claim that since they moved a few months ago, she has become fearful and reactive to strangers and in new situations.

We have learned that once she trusts she can be affectionate and playful and bond with someone, and will eventually become protective of that person.
She doesn’t like to be alone for too long and has shown signs of food possession.
According to the former owners she is ok with large dogs, but not small ones and has no history with cats. She is housetrained.

Cookie needs work on her food possession, her ability to be alone, and her fear of strangers. Training advice and protocols will be shared with her new family.
Her best match would be a calm, adult family, who have already had experience with a fearful small breed.
A house vs an apartment or condo, with someone home part of the day, is mandatory.

She is spayed, has had her teeth done and is vaccinated.

Cookie is available for foster or foster-to-adopt.
