This senior, 11 year old, Golden Retriever has been through a lot. She has been with Gerdys Rescue for a very long time.

Meadow was found abandoned and in terrible shape in her home after her human passed away. She was then left tied up outdoors for days suffering from a huge abcess on her body and without food or water, until
a rescue group brought her to Gerdys.

Meadow is a survivor of neglect, and has never known true happiness and security as most domestic pets do. She was under socialized with humans and dogs and is somewhat mistrustful. She has spent too much time alone and lonely. She has recently become more open to affection but only on her terms. Meadow has been without a forever home for well over a year and would do best with a patient single person or couple that will not demand too much of her. She will make a nice housemate, but don’t expect her to be cuddling on the sofa with you.

No kids, no cats and no other dogs. A house with a fenced in yard, in the suburbs and not too many stairs is imperative. She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative.
