RICKY, A CHORKIE, IS TRYING SO HARD TO FIGURE THINGS OUT
This 6-month old, 8 lb., Chorkie guy is trying to find his place in his new life. Very dependent in his pack of 13 (seized from a backyard breeder), Ricky struggles with his introduction to new people and things. Once you gain his trust and he becomes comfortable, as he is now with volunteers, he is an affectionate, loving boy.
Ricky is loyal, very tight and very active with his pack. He will have to be adopted with one of them for him to survive. He is very brave in the group context, but uber scared when separated. Ricky needs a patient and experienced family (with small fearful dogs) who will “get” his quirky personality and who would be willing to help him realize his potential. Modifying this behaviour will take some time, but we are confident that in the right hands and the fact that he is so young, he will come around.
Ricky is used to living outside on a country property with the 12 others from his clan and running amuck and barking at people to protect the property and his mates. So he will be protective of your property and he will need work on housetraining.
Ricky is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
FIRM REQUIREMENTS: Experienced with fearful dogs who may be a flight risk. No condos or apartments, children 18+, a securely fenced yard, swimming pools only if fenced separately, someone home a good part of the day. Ricky must be adopted together with another dog from his pack. A cat OK if used to dogs.
