TONIE IS A REAL TEENAGER WHO IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF AN EXPERIENCED OWNER WHO IS UP UP FOR A CHALLENGE.
Tonie has had a rough start. Unfortunately at 1 1/2 years old, she has not yet had a stable home, and suffers from insecurity and a fear of abandonment. She needs someone willing to start with a clean slate, as she is like a puppy in an adult body (small at 30 lbs.) and desperate to establish a relationship of trust and commitment. Tonie needs an adopter who has experience with difficult dogs, someone with the time and patience to help her become the best she can be in a calm and stable environment.
Still puppy nipping, we recommend children 16+. Tonie is full of energy and will require an active family who has a few hours a day for walking or running, hiking, playing ball. Tonie can be vocal, especially when left alone for too long so a house vs. an apartment or condo is mandatory.
She will need a family with a flexible schedule, as she is not used to being alone and would benefit from positive cage training. She gets along with some dogs not all and does not like cats. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Tonie is available for foster or adoption. Protocols for training with positive reinforcement will be supplied.
