BABA MADE A COMPLETE TURNAROUND!

Neglected and rejected in a former life, 1+ year old Baba has been given the opportunity to put his past behind him and begin again. On the run for a spell, terrified to get close to humans, Baba was exhausted, hungry and finally succumbed to safety with some good Samaritans.

He was insecure, scared and shy at first with his Gerdy’s foster family. They gave him the space, the patience and the time he needed to trust again. Today he is a happy guy, with a wagging tail, who craves affection and snuggles. He is alert and smart and loves to learn new stuff, especially if goodies are rewarded for success. He adores the outdoors- –whether long leash walks on trails in the woods, hanging out in the garden, rough-housing with his foster siblings or lazing around the pool (but never interested in taking a plunge!). Car rides are always welcome.  To-date, all of his interactions with other dogs and human visitors have been positive.

Starting out in a new environment with new people he may be skittish and be flight risk at first. A family experienced with fearful dogs is recommended. Once he trusts that no harm will come his way, he will settle in as he did with his foster family. Another young, active dog in his forever home is possible and a secure fenced yard would be great!

Baba weighs approximately 45 lbs, and has just been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  He loves his crate and is on his way to being totally housetrained. Kids 12+. Not tested with cats.
