A Chance Worth Taking.
When this little Morkie, Katie, went in to be spayed recently, the veterinarian discovered a tiny 1mm mammary mass that no one knew was there. It was removed and sent to the lab. The result came back as a carcinoma. The good news is that there is no metastasis and no treatment is required at this time. Right now she is healthy, happy, and enjoying life exactly as she should.
She is 5-6 years old and 16 pounds of sweetness. Friendly, social, and affectionate, she enjoys people, gets along well with dogs and cats, and is gentle with children. She is housetrained, loves attention, and happily trots along on her walks as if the world belongs to her.
What she needs now is someone willing to see the dog in front of them rather than the diagnosis in a report. The truth is that no one knows how long any dog will live. She may never have another problem, or she may not have as many years as we hope. What we do know is that today she is very well, vaccinated, full of life, and ready to belong to someone.
We are hoping to find a person or family who is not afraid to take that chance. She will give back affection, loyalty, and companionship every single day.
Sometimes the very best dogs are the ones who simply need someone brave enough to say yes.
