Betty was saved from a dog meat farm only 2 weeks before she was ready to give birth. She has been living in a loving foster home in Montreal’s West Island, where she gave birth to 10 healthy puppies.

Now that her lovely puppies found their forever families, it’s now time to find a home for Betty.

Betty is a female 40-lb Jindo mix. According to our veterinarian, she is approximately 2-3 years old. She has a wonderful temperament and loves to receive affection. Since she was most likely raised in a cage and an abusive environment, she is shy towards humans.

Since her puppies left, she did some amazing progress. She has become very playful, especially with other dogs. She comes in and out of the house without issues and now she’s enjoying her daily walks. She is still a little jumpy at sudden noises, but that is also improving every day! She even took a bath!

She gets along great with the other dogs (Chihuahua and Golden Retriever) and children at the foster home.

Her ideal adopters should be knowledgeable about dogs and eager to continue to work with her, with love, patience and a lot of treats! Also fenced in back yard and a canine companion so Betty could continue her progress.

We believe they will be rewarded with a great companion.

Betty is UTD on her vaccines, dewormed and will be sterilized.
