Blanche and Tocson | Gerdy’s Rescues and Adoptions

A Soft Landing Needed: Together or Apart.

Two gentle souls are about to lose the only home they have known. These animals are loved and have always been well cared for, but circumstances now require that they be surrendered. After seven years together, Blanche and Tocson need caring foster homes while they wait for their their future to unfold. Ideally they would remain together, as they have been companions for most of their lives, but we will consider separate foster homes if necessary.

Blanche

Blanche weighs 45 lbs and is slim, lively and full of energy. She is joyful, engaging and affectionate, the kind of dog who brings brightness into a room. She has lived peacefully with another dog and two cats and is accustomed to children. Blanche has not had regular leash walks, so she will need patience and guidance to learn the routine. She can also be a bit of an escape artist, so a secure yard and/or attentive handling will be important. With her enthusiasm and affectionate nature, Blanche will make a lively and devoted companion.

Tocson

Tocson weighs 65 lbs and is currently quite overweight, but his spirit is anything but heavy. His tail wags with such enthusiasm it seems to have a life of its own. Sweet, gentle and affectionate, Tocson has lived comfortably with another dog, two cats and children. Like Blanche, he has not been leash walked and will need some help learning those skills, along with a gradual return to healthier activity and controlled food intake.

Both dogs have gentle temperaments and loving natures. They are used to living as part of a family and deserve stability, kindness and a safe place while their future unfolds.

If you can offer Blanche and Tocson a home together, that would be wonderful. If not, we will gratefully consider homes for them separately.

A little patience and a lot of love will go a long way for these two deserving dogs.
