Up Close and Personal
Charlie is the kind of dog who quietly becomes the centre of your life. She never needed a big world. For six years, it was just her, her person, and her canine bro. Same routines, same bed, same comforting rhythm every day. She learned what love looks like up close, and she leaned all the way into it.
She is a 6 year old Poodle, 9 pounds, soft in every way. Loving, deeply affectionate, and very tuned in to her person. She will follow you from room to room, keep an eye on you and settle in beside you the second you sit down. At night, she is used to sleeping right in bed, tucked in.
Charlie can be shy at first. New people and new situations make her pause, take a step back, and watch. But give her a little time and a gentle tone, and she’ll comes forward.
She is an easy dog to live with. Fully housetrained and also comfortable using pee pads. She walks well on leash and enjoys getting out, but she is not high energy. A couple of nice walks and lots of together time is her ideal balance.
She is friendly with other dogs, especially small and medium ones, and does well with cats. She is gentle with children, she can be handled easily and she travels well in the car.
Charlie can stay home alone for a few hours, but because she bonds so closely, she can feel anxious when left too long. At first you may hear a bit of barking (read whimpering) when she is by herself, but she settles down in 10-15 minutes. She is often more at ease with another canine companion.
She is spayed, vaccinated, and in good health, with no known medical concerns. She eats a simple routine of kibble twice a day and has had regular dental care.
