THIS DUO CAN BE SEPARATED!!!
Cubanito and Luna have spent 5+ years together. Luna is 11 and Cubanito 6. They live together but we have realized that they do not need to stay together. Each one would be happy in a home with another dog.
Luna, a puppy mill survivor, was terrified of men when she was rescued 9 years ago. In her adoptive home she was very attached to her “mom” who passed away recently. Although Luna is not comfortable with a man as her only guardian, she can live peacefully with one. For the most part she is affectionate, friendly and happy.
Cubanito on the other hand is more needy. Friendly when comfortable, very affectionate and a classic lap dog. He is not happy when left alone for too long. Someone who works from home or a presence in the house is necessary. We thought that we would place them together but their needs are so different and they do not mind being apart.
Luna is an American Eskimo and Cubanito a Daschund/Chihuahua mix. Both dogs weigh about 20 lbs, are sterilized, microchipped vaccinated and housetrained. Applicants must have a secure fenced yard!!! No children under 16. Someone must be home a good part of the day. Each one needs another confident dog in the home.
Please apply ONLY if you meet the requirements.Inquire at: info@gerdysrescue.org
