Sometimes the hardest part of rescue is when a beloved owner has no choice but to say goodbye. Dixie just left the only home she has ever known. Her owner has reached a point where she can no longer care for herself and no longer has the physical or financial ability to care for her beloved Dixie.
For twelve years, Dixie has been her faithful sidekick. They have shared the kind of companionship that becomes woven into everyday life. Dixie was her constant companion and her only family.
Dixie fell from the sofa and injured her front paw. She is limping and Gerdy’s will take responsibility for her medical care, treatment, and everything she needs moving forward.

UN VÉRITABLE GESTE D’AMOUR
Parfois, le plus difficile dans le sauvetage d’un animal c’est lorsqu’un maître qui l’aime profondément n’a d’autre choix que de lui dire adieu. Dixie quitte le seul foyer qu’elle ait jamais connu. Sa maîtresse en est arrivée à un stade où elle ne peut plus subvenir à ses propres besoins et n’a plus ni les capacités physiques ni les moyens financiers de s’occuper de sa chère Dixie.
Depuis douze ans, Dixie est sa fidèle compagne. Elles ont partagé cette complicité qui s’intègre naturellement au quotidien. Dixie était sa compagne de tous les instants et sa seule famille.
Dixie est tombée du canapé et s’est blessée à la patte avant. Elle boite, et Gerdy’s prendra en charge ses soins médicaux, son traitement et tout ce dont elle aura besoin à l’avenir.
