KELLY IS ALL EARS!

Meet Kelly, a vibrant and spirited young German Shepherd who thrives on playtime and adventure. At just 15 months old, this energetic pup adores a rousing game of tug-of-war or a game of fetch that lasts for hours. Her enthusiasm and zest for life make her the ideal companion for an active family.

Don’t be misled by her tough exterior. Kelly’s expressive pointy ears, curious head tilts, and occasionally melancholic face are simply part of her charm. She’s a genuine cuddle bug who adores belly rubs and snuggling up to her favorite people. Great with kids and eager to be part of family activities, Kelly is a loving and loyal addition to any home.

Intelligent and treat-motivated, Kelly knows her basic commands and is a breeze to train. She does need some work on her leash manners, particularly with pulling and excitement when meeting new dogs and people. A family familiar with working breeds would be ideal for helping her refine these skills.

Kelly has her own unique quirks—she has a playful, love-hate relationship with water, often biting at the garden hose only to dart away before getting sprayed. She’s also a fly-hunting enthusiast, adding a touch of comedy to her antics. She can stay alone for a few hours, always in her crate. She may whine at first but does chill. She may jump on guests in her excitement, but treats are a quick fix to help her settle down.

Kelly is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, weighing around 65 lbs. She’s both housetrained and crate trained. Ideally, she’d be best as the only pet in the home, with a secure, minimum 6 ft. fenced yard. If there’s a pool, it must be separately fenced. She’s suited for families with children aged 12 and up.
