ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOUNG KIRA?  This 16-month-old PomChi is a lovable, spirited girl. She is sweet, affectionate, sociable and playful. Kira loves being around people and other dogs. Found as a stray and brought to a local pound, where she was adopted to a family with very young kids. Her adopters realize that for her to thrive, she needs a quieter adult home with a structured environment.

While Kira is an easy, spunky pup she does have some specific needs and behaviors that require an understanding and patient adopter. In the early stages in her new home she may need some extra attention to help her settle in. Building patience and trust will be important to prevent any regression from former issues like mild separation anxiety, reinforcing her house training and diligence—ensuring that there are never plastic items lying around, as Kira has a penchant for chewing on plastic.

KIRA’S ESSENTIAL NEEDS:

• Adult home or older kids who are dog-savvy and can help guide her interactions.

• Another playful dog in the home may be a great plus for Kira as she enjoys socializing and playing with other dogs.

• An active household that can meet her exercise needs and give her lots of walks and outings. Kira walks beautifully on a leash without pulling or reacting to distractions.

and she is happy in the car!

• A secure environment where she can feel safe and have a predictable routine.

• Regular physical and mental stimulation which includes supervised interactive toys and puzzle games and will help keep her engaged and prevent undesirable behaviors. Kira is smart, treat-motivated, and quick to learn. She loves being challenged with new tricks and commands.

• Someone who works from home or a presence in the home a good part of the day.

KIRA weighs 5.25 kg, and is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. If a yard it must be securely fenced for a small dog. If a pool it must be securely fenced.
