THIS TIME ‘ROUND, 14-YEAR-OLD LUPE IS HOPING FOR A FOREVER HOME
The common narrative of dogs outliving their owners is Lupe’s story. After the passing of her original owner she was circulated from friend to friend and finally landed in a “safe house” for the last several months. Lupe is now 14 and is hoping to finally settle with a “for keeps” family.A quirky looking Chihuahua mix, Lupe is an independent, docile and quiet girl who doesn’t ask for much (except for her food and treats) and is happy just to BE. Currently she lives harmoniously with a cat and dog and they pretty much stay out of each other’s way. She doesn’t love to be held or cuddled but will hang around you and follow your every move. What she does love is to walk and even run, and often. On the walks her funny looks and friendly personality often spark attention from strangers asking to say hi and to pet her.The yard is a happy place too where she can run and sniff and explore the great outdoors. She loves car rides and will be happy to join you when you run errands. Although Lupe does her business willingly outdoors, she will still have accidents in the house. We are not sure if this is a result of being tossed around, the effect of old age or just insecurity. She is used to having people around so will need a home where people are either retired, work from home or are homebodies. Lupe is spayed, vaccinated and will have a dental and weighs approximately 8 lbs.
