MERLIN, A LOVELY SENIOR COTON DE TULEAR
Merlin is a 13-year-old, 11 lb. neutered male, Coton de Tulear with a big personality packed into a small, fluffy frame. Though his eyes are a little cloudy and his ears don’t catch every sound these days, he hasn’t lost his zest for life, or his love of being right by your side. Merlin is happiest when he can curl up beside you (or better yet, in your arms like a baby), content to snooze away while you go about your day.
Like many dignified seniors, Merlin has his quirks. He’s a bit of a chatterbox when the doorbell rings or someone strolls past his kingdom, and he proudly marks his territory indoors (he rocks a belly band with style). He occasionally struggles with stairs, but give him a comfy lap and a treat, and he’s over the moon.
Merlin is not aggressive, though he can be startled if woken suddenly, so he’d do best in a home without curious toddlers. Older kids, gentle adults, and anyone who appreciates a loyal, cuddly companion will find him to be a sweet and steady friend. Merlin can be left alone for a few hours but doesn’t enjoy being crated. He enjoys fetching a ball, going for walks and has used pee pads in the past.
All in all, Merlin is a loveable, slightly anxious, delightfully quirky old pup with plenty of love to give. He’s looking for a calm, patient home where he can spend his golden years being adored.
Merlin and his brother Floki are both being rehomed they can be adopted together but are not bonded.
