Pepper (was Mia), survived death when found running on Autoroute 40 and a kind soul stopped rush hour traffic and hauled her into her car to bring her to safety. Then a routine vet check showed a mass and on investigation it was deemed malignant. The mass was removed with wide safe margins and 8 months later Pepper, the survivor, is in fine form and “healthy as a horse”!  She is 6 years young and full of energy.

With her foster parents, Pepper has been enjoying a great quality of life. She is super affectionate and loves to cuddle. She is smart, a quick learner and super motivated. She is very active and loves to play ball..all the time! She is great with all kids and other dogs but is quite strong, so older kids and younger dogs would best suit her. This gal loves car rides especially when there is ice cream involved and is up for any new adventure.

Her best match would be a family with an active lifestyle, a flexible work schedule, kids 12 +, another young, active dog who will roughhouse with her. No cats S.V.P. No apartments or condos. We have recently discovered that Pepper loves to chase squirrels, so we are insisting on a fenced yard.

Pepper weighs 60 lbs, is spayed and up to date on her vaccines.
