NEW IMPROVED PROFILE FROM FOSTER MOM 🐾
MOOSE IS A BIG BABY…LITERALLY. Only eight months and already over 60 lbs., Moose is indeed a large baby. Bought from a backyard breeder in the far reaches of our province, Moose was promised to be a small to medium breed (there were no parents of the litter in sight). Moose’s beard and bits of wired hair indicate terrier somewhere in his lineage, his tricolour palate screams Bernese, but his body shape could be other.
What we do know for sure is his temperament— sweet, affectionate, a cuddle buddy and a people pleaser. Quite the chameleon Moose is happy to adapt to your schedule He can be relaxed at home on a rainy day or keep up with your pack on a 10 km hike. Even though Moose is a pretty calm boy indoors he pines to be outdoors as much as possible. Moose already knows many fun basic commands like: sit, paw, spin, down, wait, no, yes and kisses. He is a quick learner albeit food motivated; a pushover for peanut butter and pumpkin puree. He is totally housetrained, crate trained and can stay alone for a few hours without fussing.
Moose’s requirements:
-a willingness to continue his puppy training
-an outdoorsy, active family
-a presence in the home with flexible work hours or work at home
-a secure (6 ft.) fenced-in yard is a must (if a pool it must be securely fenced separately)
-a chill senior cat is possible-another young active dog is possible
-children 8 plus
If you do not fit all of the requirements, you will not be contacted.Inquire at: info@gerdysrescue.org
