Meet Tokyo!

This handsome tri-color brindle Shih Tzu is a sweet little guy who’s learning to trust after a tough start. Though he’s slow to warm up to new people and situations, Tokyo has made great progress in his foster home. After just a few weeks, he’s started to seek out affection and enjoy snuggles!

A playful companion, he loves zooming around, playing with toys, and hanging out with other dogs, both big and small. Tokyo will thrive in a calm adult home with a single person or couple experienced in caring for under-socialized dogs. Another small active dog in the home would be a great asset for Tokyo.

We are updating his file and adding a secure fenced yard as an essential requirement. In the beginning Tokyo will not allow a new person to put on a harness, collar and leash and will get his exercise playing with your dog, playing fetch and doing zooms in the yard.

At four and a half years old and around nine pounds, he’s healthy, up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. If you’re ready to help this little guy blossom, he might be the perfect match for you!
