ZACKIE IS A GREAT DOG…WITH A FEW QUIRKS
Zackie is a delightful 2 ½ year old Shih Tzu with a big personality and with a few quirks that make him unique!
Having faced some challenges in his past, Zackie can be sensitive to manipulation and may still approach some humans with a sprinkle of initial hesitation. But just take a moment and paint him a picture of trust and then enjoy all his playful and loving qualities…one quirky paw at a time. His attachment to his foster family is a testament to how loyal and trusting he can be once he feels the love. Positive reinforcement and gentle handling have built the bridge to Zackie becoming a confident and super affectionate cuddle-bug.
He’s great with other dogs and enjoys spending time with canine friends. From spirited romps at the park to lazy afternoons spent hanging out, he gleefully leaps into playdates with doggy pals as if they were old friends reuniting each time. He has a strong affinity for his toys and chew sticks. He loves new adventures especially in the car.
Zackie is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He weighs 13 lbs. Zackie is used to a crate for time out and when he is left alone. He does his business on pee pads and mostly outdoors. No apartments. No cats. An adult home (kids 15+) experienced with small breeds is preferred. He is a great eater but diet must be chicken free.
