UPDATE!!!

THIS DUO WOULD LOVE TO STAY TOGETHER; WE ARE DOING OUR BEST TO MAKE IT HAPPEN

For months we have tried to find a home for this duo. Then we tried to find separate homes for them, figuring each would be OK as long as they were loved. We are trying one more time with the hopes of keeping them together. A lofty request we know, but Cubanito and Luna have spent 5+ years together and Cubanito, 6 years old would be distraught without the security of housemate senior Luna 12 years old. On the other hand Luna would miss the company of her sidekick.

Luna, a puppy mill survivor, who has been skittish around most men since she was rescued nine years ago was very attached to her “mom” who passed away last year and she would not be comfortable with a man as her only guardian. She is fearful with people at first but with a handful of treats quickly warms up. She loves long walks and horsing around with Cubanito in the yard.

Cubanito, born in Mexico and rescued as a puppy is anxious in new situations but he becomes super affectionate and snuggly once he gets to know people. He is not happy when left alone for too long but does much better with Luna there. He likes his walks and loves running free in his fenced-in yard.

We thought that we would reach out for the miracle of finding them a suitable home together.

Luna is an American Eskimo and Cubanito a Daschund/Chihuahua mix Both dogs weigh about 20 lbs, are sterilized, microchipped and vaccinated. Applicants must have a secure fenced yard!!! No children. Someone home a good part of the day.
