Meeka is a five-year-old, 9 lb. Biewer Terrier who feels most comfortable when life follows a familiar rhythm. She is bright, observant, affectionate, and enjoys being close to her people.
She loves cuddling, being carried, and spending time beside her person. While she is happy to relax and enjoy quiet time, she is also curious about the world around her and likes to keep track of what is going on.
Meeka gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy sharing her home with a calm canine companion. She appreciates polite introductions to new people and situations and settles best when given a little time to take things in.
She is highly food motivated and learns quickly. Although she has not had extensive formal training, she responds well to consistency and positive reinforcement. She enjoys knowing what is expected of her and thrives when daily routines are predictable.
Meeka is largely house trained but may occasionally use a pee pad during times of change or stress. As with many dogs adjusting to a new home, a little patience and consistency will help her succeed.
She has limited experience with car travel but is making good progress. She travels best when she is able to stay close to her person, whether resting on a lap, curled up in a dog bed, or riding in a soft-sided carrier where she can see what is going on around her.
A quieter home would suit Meeka best. Busy streets, heavy traffic, and constant activity are not her favourite things. She is looking for a home where life is relatively calm, routines are established, and there is plenty of time for companionship.
Meeka is a sweet, intelligent little dog who forms strong bonds with her people. For someone looking for a devoted companion who enjoys affection, routine, and being part of everyday life, Meeka may be exactly the right fit.
Meeka is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and had a full dental cleaning in January 2026.
Best suited to: a quieter household with adult children or respectful older teens. A house in a calm neighbourhood would be ideal, though the most important ingredient is a predictable home where Meeka can feel secure and included.
No apartments or condos. A fenced yard would be great! If a pool it must be fenced separately.
