THIS LITTLE GIRL HAS COME A LONG WAY!

Topaz’s adorable looks, her sweet personality and her compact 43 lb. body make this terrier mix a winner. Perfect in many aspects of dogginess, Topaz is smart, enthusiastic, sublimely affectionate, eager to please and loyal to the core. She will make a wonderful family companion.

Topaz is quite energetic, and needs plenty of room to run, jump, and play. Ideally, she should have a large, securely fenced yard to burn off energy. Although active, she equally loves to chill and cuddle, or chomp on a frozen Kong quietly in her crate. Topaz loves a lot of interaction with her people and will thrive best in a home where somebody is home most of the day.

Her new humans should have dog experience and be able to assert a calm leadership, while still providing all of the support and positive reinforcement this girl requires. She does love all kids but our recommendation is age 10 plus. Super treat-motivated, she loves and is very responsive to learning and she catches on to new commands quickly. Recent work with trainers has provided excellent results in leash-walking, focussed heeling, advanced commands and the dog-dog experience. Slow intros to other dogs are now a positive experience and Topaz may even be comfortable living with another well-matched dog.

Topaz is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and weighs about 43 lbs. No cats. Kids 10+. If pool must be fenced separately.
