Nala, a 5-year-old lab mix was recently brought here from a shelter in Mexico where she lived for over 4 years before some kind Montrealers rescued her. The couple have been fostering her to get to know her and to ready her for adoption. This well-balanced, lovely girl took no time at all to adapt to her new environment.

Nala is very affectionate and is both people and dog friendly. Coming from a warmer climate, she is used to being outside a lot and would do best in a home with a fenced yard to hang out and play in—no apartments please. She is a great walker and would appreciate an active, sporty family. Her foster parents have worked hard with her training and she housetrained and already has good recall.

Calm, zen and not a big barker, she can also stay alone without any anxiety. Nala is a pleasure to have around and will make a great companion for a family wanting to rescue this special girl.

Nala can live with another dog, but has no history with cats. Since she has no history that we know of with kids, we are requesting kids 14+. Nala is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She weighs 43 lbs.
